The Rug Company Redo

There are a lot of chic shops in New York but the recently renovated Rug Company showroom has them all beat! They have more room for their fashionable rugs and pretty pillows which now share space with lots of vintage furniture and accessories. I especially love the photographic wall hangings which I was told are a just placeholders until the same photos are made into tapestries. I don't even want to think about how long those will take to weave! Definitely stop in and check out The Rug Company the next time you are in Soho! Just don't forget to look at the rugs as well as the decor!

Petrol

Many years ago, I bought a fabulous pair of Anya Hindmarch shoes in London and the color was called Petrol. The color is a blue/green/turquoise and the name comes from the word for gasoline in the UK. It seems rather fitting then that the British couple, Christopher and Suzanne Sharp, who own The Rug Company should have petrol coloured walls in their London home.
