ivar wardrobe

money, or rather, the lack of it, often leads to neat hack ideas. here's one from laura and fiancee, marco, using the ivar system.

"on june 2005 my fiancee and i moved in our new house, sold almost every piece of furniture we had and started fresh, obviously with a lot of help from ikea.

we have a nice dressing room and the ikea's options for furnishing it (pax or stolmen system) were way too expensive. so my fiancée had this idea: why not use ivar, probably the cheapest line of ikea furniture ever made ... with a little hacking? :)

for every "shelving" unit we used the following:
marco says the main problem was making holes in the shelves. but in the end, the result is very practical, convenient and cheap. a good alternative if you don't want to spend a fortune on your wardrobe."
